Intimidated by starting Yoga? Read this!

Nowadays yoga seems pretty omnipresent. You can see it everywhere. There are yoga schools popping up on seemingly every corner. And especially on Instagram, everyone seems to be a yogi.

But as a yoga beginner, all those things that go into a yoga practice can be pretty overwhelming.

It’s sad how many people muster up all their courage to try their first yoga class, just to be discouraged by instructions they cannot follow, simply because their bodies are not yet flexible or strong enough. Or by lots of yoga vocabulary they don’t understand.

I am here to tell you: it doesn’t have to be like that!

Yoga is for everybody and every body. You don’t have to adapt to the practice, it can adapt to you!

My own yoga journey started when I was not able to touch my toes. Far from it! I had never meditated before in my life, and breathwork seemed like something rather… eccentric.

And the worst part: My self-consciousness about being so inflexible and “unfit” didn’t let me join any yoga classes.

Instead, I scrambled the internet for information, slowly putting the puzzle pieces together.

It was a slow and arduous process, but over the years I developed my own yoga practice. And the practice gave me so much!

It became such an important part of my life that now, at the time of writing this, I have actually become a certified yoga teacher. Because I want Yoga to help other people just like it helped me.

(I can also touch my toes now, but that’s not the point.)

The point is, it doesn’t matter how far you think you are from being a yogi.

You can be one, right now!

And this guide will show you all the basics to move forward on your very own yoga journey.

Time to dive in!
